 The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church requires each church to come together once a year in an Annual Church (Charge) Conference. The body of members of the church are presented with a slate of nominees to be selected for the Church Council, and for members of each committee and sub-committee. Although the Book of Discipline allows certain committee leaders to serve from one to three years, in our church a new slate is presented each year. The Church Council meets once a month to decide matters of business for the church. All members of the congregation are invited to come observe the Council meetings, held the third Thursday of each month.
