Sidewalk Sunday Stuffed Stockings
The Missions and Outreach Committee wants you!
Bring home all those unopened individual bottles of shampoo, bars of soap, hand lotion, hair spray, shaving cream (leave the towels, robes and glasses please). Bring them to church and they will be put to good use.
Emergency Aid of Boulder City and United Methodist Social Missions will provide them to the people in need of these items. Often, their circumstances are not conducive to carrying the larger sizes of personal toiletries.
Not traveling? Still wish to help out? Most grocery and drug stores have a travel section with small-size toiletries. Pick up some personal-sized containers of soap, shampoo, shaving cream, toothpaste, deodorant...anything that will enhance the lifestyle of those less fortunate.
If you have any question, please contact Diane Hernandez at 294-0802

The Communion Coin for April will be dedicated to Nothing But Nets.Nothing But Nets is a global, grassroots campaign to save lives by preventing malaria, a leading killer of children in Africa. The people of The United Methodist Church, along with Sports Illustrated, NBA Cares, the United Nations Foundation and several other groups, are raising funds to purchase bed nets to end malaria. The children of Africa need you to help stop the spread of this disease. Purchasing bed nets is an easy way for individuals to make a difference in combating this disease. You can join the cause and contribute money for bed nets that will keep children and families safe.
The Benevolence Fund was established to help those within our congregation – and sometimes without – to move through a time of crisis. With today’s economy, this fund has become even more vital. The church asks those who are able, to please give an additional offering specifically to the fund – as little as $5 a week will benefit those who may need groceries, their lights kept on or a place to call home for “just one more month.” Please mark your checks or envelopes “Benevolence Fund” when giving. If you would like more information, please contact Alberta Ellis at 293-4155.
